From Chemicals to Clean: Why I Embraced Holistic Skincare
Over the past four years, I’ve taken a deep dive into the world of skincare ingredients—and let’s just say, what I found was a little alarming. Most people don’t realize just how loosely regulated the beauty industry actually is. The U.S. has banned only 11 harmful ingredients in cosmetics, while Europe has banned over 1,300. That’s a huge difference, and it made me realize just how much responsibility falls on us—both as consumers and as estheticians providing these products and services.
This research changed everything for me. I started paying closer attention to labels, questioning ingredients I couldn’t pronounce, and wondering why we’re so quick to treat skin issues with a “bandaid” approach rather than getting to the root cause. And the truth is—what we put on our skin matters, but so does our overall health. The two go hand in hand.
The Switch to Plant-Based Skincare
That’s why I made the switch to plant-based, organic, and non-toxic skincare—and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only are these products just as effective (if not more), but they work with your skin instead of against it. Conventional skincare often focuses on treating surface-level symptoms, but holistic skincare takes a different approach—it’s about supporting the skin’s natural healing process and addressing what’s going on beneath the surface.
I believe great skin starts from the inside out, and using products made from real, clean ingredients aligns with that belief. It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about long-term health and lasting results.
My Approach as a Holistic Esthetician
This shift has also transformed how I work as a holistic esthetician. My goal is to provide treatments that not only deliver glowing skin but also promote overall wellness. Because when you nourish your body and treat your skin with care, it shows.
I’m excited to continue sharing this journey—because clean beauty isn’t just a trend, it’s a lifestyle. And trust me, your skin will thank you for it.
